GENDER EQUALITY AT J. SELYE UNIVERSITY

The concept of human rights, equal opportunities, and equality between women and men, the so-called gender equality has become a regular part of our lives in the last decade. The promotion of the rights of women, minorities, the disabled, or otherwise underprivileged groups of the population has become an important impulse for Slovakia's accession to the European Union, which considers these values as pivotal.
Horizon Europe programme sets gender equality as a comprehensive principle in all projects or areas of work. The aim is to eliminate gender and overlapping socio-economic inequalities in the research and innovation system, including by addressing unconscious bias and systemic structural barriers.
J. Selye University emphasises the strengthening of equal opportunities and gender equality at all its levels, within the long-term development of J. Selye University, the issue is one of its strategic goals.
