In addition to studies, J. Selye University and the city of Komárom offer excellent opportunities for active recreation

At Selye János University, the Women's Faculty, Cantus Iuventus, was founded in the 2013/14 academic year with 35 members. Currently, it boasts a staff of more than 70 people. The Student Self-Government of J. Selye University organizes several events for students every year. The university's sports center has 3 well-equipped rooms, the fitness room with mirrors, the aerobics room and the large gymnasium, waiting for the students and employees of the university who would like to do sports, and they are also available to the public. The multifunctional sports field located next to the Sirály College can be used even in the evening thanks to its lighting.

The city of Komárom, with its diverse locations and rich programs, offers culture and sports enthusiasts a great opportunity to relax. At the confluence of the Danube and the Vág, on 13 hectares, directly next to the Conference Center of J. Selye University, the central fortress of Komárom is located, which even in its current state is a valuable historical attraction.

One of Slovakia's Hungarian theater companies, the stone theater Jókai Theater, is located in the city center and has long been one of the cornerstones of Hungarian theater in the highlands. The Egressy Béni Municipal Cultural Center hosts numerous music and theater productions every year, as well as several festivals. Many museums, libraries, churches and galleries also await those interested in culture. The city organizes several large-scale events every year. These include the traditional Komáromi Days, Jókai Days, St. Andrew's Day Fair, Komáromi Borkorzó or the Lehár Summer event series. Movie lovers can take advantage of the experiences offered by the modern Tatra Cinema, which is also suitable for screening 3D films.

The city's location on the waterfront offers an excellent opportunity for water sports lovers, to which the Komáromi Kayak-Canoe Club is of great help. In the city, it is also possible to rent bicycles, boats and pedal boats. Since the EuroVelo 6 cycle route connecting Western France and the Black Sea passes through the city of Komárom, it offers cyclists a variety of multi-directional hiking opportunities in addition to the regionally developed cycle paths.

The thermal bath in Komárom welcomes those who would like to heal and relax all year round. During the beach season, 7 different pools are available to bathers. Those who would like to do sports in the winter can choose between the indoor swimming pool and the artificial ice rink. Hammer Gym, Black CrossGym, Max Gym Komárno and many other gyms provide a place and equipment for all those who choose bodybuilding as a sport.

The city's pleasant bars and pubs, such as Ramsesz and Saturnusz, provide a great location for afternoon and evening conversations, where you can even play billiard or darts. The Pince University Club's regular cultural programs are sufficiently varied (book presentation, painting exhibition, discussion evening) and in addition to these, it also provides musical, dancing and disco entertainment. The city's friendly cafes give you the opportunity to break up the long days and enjoy a nice cup of coffee. The rich offer of Kávy sveta or CAFE FREI provides quality for gourmets.

There are many dining options available both within the framework of the university and in the restaurants of the city. In a non-exhaustive list: fast food restaurants (Tripl's), pizzerias (Lux Pizzeria, Allegra Pizzeria, Neptun Pizzeria, Tatai), restaurants (Melinda buffet) provide the possibility of a varied and quick meal. Fans of the street-food style are waiting for the restaurant called Francesco, where they can taste excellent cocktails alongside the quesadilla. Of course, in addition to these, there are restaurants of a higher standard (Bella restaurant, Klapka restaurant, Zucca restaurant, Bow Garden...), which enhance the city's culture with their high level of gastronomic value. The majority of the restaurants also offer a daily menu to their customers, which they receive information about on offer in advance on the Kam na menu? website.
